Re: Call for Submissions and Comments for ICMC Website on Migration and Development

Dear Friends,

We are forwarding you the following message from the International Catholic Migration Commission (ICMC), regarding a website that they are building for civil society information sharing on migration and development issues. They are asking for submissions and suggestions. Please see their message below.

Best wishes,

Migrants Rights International

Message from the International Catholic Migration Commission:

"Good news! Our civil society statements, research, perspectives and other materials relating to migration and development no longer need rest solely on crowded tables and separate Websites — the time has come to bring our collective work together for easy reference and improved advocacy through an organized Website built for civil society, by civil society.

It is our hope that MigrationAndDevelopment.Netwill facilitate and support operational programming and partnerships within the field of migration and development, increasing awareness of, preparation for and follow-up to, regional and international processes including the Global Forum on Migration and Development.  Most importantly, we are confident in the potential of the site to both strengthen our collective civil society activities in promotion of rights-based policies and programming that embraces human dignity, as well as the leadership role of faith-based and civil society actors in particular, within these processes.

To achieve this, we warmly invite you to join in making the site useful by submitting any relevant documents that you may have on migration and development, including:

§      NGO policy statements / position papers

§      Press releases

§      Research and studies

§      Reports on field experiences, case studies

§      Conference documents and statements

§      Upcoming migration and development events

Documents to be posted may be submitted in English, French or Spanish, will maintain their rightful accreditation to the original author(s) and organization and, so long as the content is consistent with the site's objective to emphasize human rights and dignity, will be posted in the language in which the document was received.

For more information on the Website project and to submit your policy statements, press releases, field studies, conference documents, photos etc. for consideration, please contact submissions@MigrationAndDevelopment.Net. "
