The Global Forum on Migration and Development (GFMD) and the Peoples' Global Action on Migration, Development and Human Rights (PGA) came to a close on Thursday, October 30, 2008.

The Peoples' Global Action on Migration, Development and Human Rights (PGA), a civil society event parallel to the Global Forum on Migration and Development, started on 22 October 2008.

Rising Repression Against Migrants Around the World (A side event to the 7th UN Human Rights Council Session), March 18, 2008, Geneva, Switzerland

National Conference for Immigrant and Refugee Rights, sponsored by the National Network for Immigrant and Refugee Rights NNIRR, was held January 18 – 20, 2008 in Houston, Texas, United States. The conference brought together over 600 community leaders, immigrant rights activists, organizers, advocates and allies to strategize on directions and priorities for immigrant rights.
