Re: Urgent: Deadline for Funding from Ayala Foundation for Civil Society Days

Dear Friends,

This is a message to those who were selected to participate in the GFMD Civil Society Day being organized by the Ayala Foundation.

We received a communication from the Ayala Foundation that if you have been offered a scholarship from the Ayala Foundation to attend the Civil Society Day in Manila that will be held on October 27 and 28, you must notify the Ayala Foundation that you are interested in participating by Wednesday October 1, 2008 or you will be taken off the list of scholarships.

If you are interested in participating but have not previously confirmed your participation, please immediately email Angela Zalamea of the Ayala Foundation at zalamea.am@ayalafoundation.org  and gfmd.csday@gmail.com even if you have not completed all your visa or flight arrangements. If you received partial funding but will not be able to participate unless you receive full funding, please notify the Ayala Foundation right away, with a copy to migrantsrightsinternational@gmail.com.

Also, we again want to invite you to participate in the independent civil society event that MRI and others are organizing, the Peoples' Global Action on Migration, Development and Human Rights, which will be held October 22 to 30, 2008. This event is geared to allow dialogue, strategy building, and development of joint positions in preparation for the GFMD, and is complementary to participation in the Civil Society Days of Oct 27 and 28.
